The punctuation belongs to the identity.
A period, underscore or leading @ can distinguish one handle from another. Enter the complete handle as you use it, then inspect each mark after generation. The creator starter asks for one uninterrupted reading line, so the name remains a single identity rather than being split into unrelated pieces.
Choose between the full name and an avatar mark.
A long handle can work well on a cover or a post, but may become unreadable inside a small circular avatar. Compare it at the actual display size. For an avatar, a short name or a separate initial study may be more useful; keep the full handle for the places where it has room to read.
Give your work a repeatable visual direction.
Pick a palette and a lettering character that can sit comfortably beside your actual work. A restrained handle may suit a detailed illustration portfolio; a stronger color field may work for a bold editorial practice. Use the selected concept as a starting point for consistent covers and posts rather than changing everything at once.

Does this generate an Instagram username?
No. Enter the name or handle you already want to use. This page creates visual lettering, not username suggestions or availability checks.
Can I use the artwork as my profile picture?
You can try it in a profile layout after reviewing the result. Check the circular crop and small-size reading; a long handle may work better on a cover.
Will the @ and periods be correct every time?
They are explicitly included in the generation brief, but image generation can still make errors. Inspect each mark and regenerate if it is missing or misplaced.
Is this connected to Instagram?
No. Minglyph is an independent typography tool. It does not access your Instagram account or publish an image for you.
